A bus topology is a topology for a Local Area Network (LAN) in which all the nodes are connected to a single cable. The cable to which the nodes connect is called a “backbone”. … The bus topology is e.g. used by Ethernet networks.

  • In the image, what might be the name of the mesh network on the left and the mesh network on the right? Mesh  and Partial Mesh
  • What happens if one node is trying to communicate with another node but one connection is not available? The node will find a different path by sending the data to another node
  • What might the computer do if one route through the network is particularly slow? Go a different way
